The effective implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area has once again taken centre stage as experts from across the continent gather in Yaounde to identify practical measures for accelerating Africa’s economic integration.
Convened by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the four-day workshop is focusing on eliminating non-tariff barriers, modernising customs systems, strengthening regional value chains, and promoting industrial transformation to unlock the full potential of intra-African trade.
For Cameroon, the meeting presents a strategic opportunity to consolidate its position as a regional trade hub while contributing to the successful implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area and Africa’s broader vision of economic integration.
